Derbyshire based HTLA’s – HLTA

Essential Education is currently looking for both supply and permanent Higher Level Teaching Assistants to work across Derbyshire. As an effective HLTA you will contribute to a wide range of teaching and learning activities, work alongside qualified teachers. HTLA’s will be well versed with the school curriculum and age related expectations of pupils. You will fully understand teaching methods, testing and exam methods. The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will be passionate about using ICT to advance pupil’s learning, and use common ICT tools on a daily basis. As both a permanent and supply HTLA you will quickly adapt to a new environment following school’s policy and procedures and actively encourage a purposeful learning environment.

·         Proven experience of monitoring pupils and gauging progress

·         Ability to demonstrate positive values and attitudes with both pupils and teachers alike

·         Demonstrable experience of working in partnership with teachers to create a positive effect

·         Classroom management skills
